Abstract
This document specifies the electrical requirements and test methods for electrical and electronic components in road vehicles with a nominal voltage of 48 V DC.
This document applies to the electrical performance of components with a 48 V DC supply voltage. For energy storage systems, the electrochemical components are not tested, and only their management systems are tested as independent DUTs.
This document includes general requirements for 48 V DC electrical systems, voltage ranges, voltage changes, and fluctuations, but does not include electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
