This part of GB/T 15972 specifies the test methods for fiber length and fiber elongation (usually for optical cables), and establishes unified test procedures and technical requirements for measurement. This part is applicable to the measurement of Class A multimode fibers and Class B single-mode fibers, as well as the commercial inspection of finished fiber optic cables.
