Abstract
This part of GB/T 15972 specifies the test method for the differential mode delay of optical fiber, and establishes unified requirements for test devices, injection conditions, procedures, calculation methods, and results. This part is applicable to the measurement of the differential mode delay of Class A1 graded index multimode optical fiber and the commercial inspection of finished optical fiber cables. The test method determined in this part is generally used in production factories and research institutes, but it is not suitable for operation in the field.
