Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and storage and transportation requirements for daily protective masks.
This standard applies to protective masks worn in daily life to filter out particulate matter in air-polluted environments.
This standard does not apply to respiratory protective gear used in special industries such as oxygen-deficient environments, underwater operations, escape, firefighting, medical, and industrial dust protection, nor to respiratory protective gear for infants, toddlers, and children.
