This standard specifies the classification, shape and size, font, color and pattern, setting principles, installation methods, and construction requirements of traffic safety signs for inland waterways. This standard applies to traffic safety signs set up in navigable waters of inland rivers. For the setting of traffic safety signs in seaports, the provisions of this standard may be referred to. When setting up traffic safety signs in border rivers between China and other countries where agreements have been signed, the provisions of this standard may also be referred to upon mutual consent.
