Abstract
This standard specifies the requirements for preparing a software requirements specification (SRS), describes the content and quality of a good SRS, and provides some examples of SRS outlines in Appendix A. This standard applies to the preparation of SRSs. This standard does not limit any specific methods, naming conventions, or tools for preparing SRSs.
