This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and model naming, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, user manuals, transportation, and storage of humidifiers. This standard applies to humidifiers for household and similar purposes. This standard also applies to the evaluation of the humidifying function of similar devices such as air purifiers or air conditioners with humidifying functions. Note that humidifiers used in the following situations may require additional requirements: -- Humidifiers used in vehicles (such as cars, ships, airplanes, etc.). This standard does not apply to: -- Humidifiers specifically designed for industrial use; -- Humidifiers used in special environments with corrosive and explosive gases (such as dust, steam, and gas); -- Humidifiers with medical purposes.
