GB/T 12622-2008 Standard test method for compressibility and recovery of gaskets for pipe flanges
Abstract
This standard specifies two test methods, A and B, for determining the compression and rebound rates of gaskets used in pipe flanges. Test method A is suitable for asbestos rubber gaskets, non-asbestos rubber gaskets, polytetrafluoroethylene gaskets, expanded or modified polytetrafluoroethylene gaskets, flexible graphite composite gaskets, etc. Test method B is suitable for wrapped gaskets, metal-coated gaskets, polytetrafluoroethylene-coated gaskets, serrated metal gaskets with non-metallic cover layers, corrugated metal gaskets, and corrugated-toothed metal gaskets, etc. This method is also applicable to the gaskets suitable for test method A, and metal flat gaskets can also be tested according to this method.
