This standard specifies the acceptance test methods for the hydraulic performance of rotary power pumps (centrifugal pumps, mixed-flow pumps, and axial-flow pumps, hereinafter referred to as "pumps"). This standard applies to pump acceptance tests conducted at pump test bases, such as laboratories or pump manufacturing plants. This standard applies to pumps of any size used to transport liquids with the characteristics of clean cold water. This standard specifies three acceptance grades: -- Grade 1B, Grade 1E, and Grade 1U, with stricter tolerances; -- Grade 2B and Grade 2U, with broader tolerances; -- Grade 3B, with even broader tolerances. This standard applies to both pumps without any pipeline accessories and pump assemblies connected to all or part of the upstream and/or downstream pipeline accessories. Note: From the perspective of pump classification, vortex pumps are also included in rotary power pumps.
