GB/T 24622-2022 Guidance on the measurement of hydrophobicity of insulator surfaces
Abstract
This document describes three methods that can be used to determine the hydrophobicity of insulators. The determination of the ability of water to wet the surface of insulators can be used to evaluate the condition of the surface of insulators in use, or as part of insulator testing in the laboratory.
This document is applicable to the measurement of the hydrophobicity of umbrella and umbrella sleeve materials of composite insulators used in overhead lines, substations, and electrical equipment, and also to the measurement of the hydrophobicity of porcelain insulators with or without a coating. The measured values represent the hydrophobicity of the specimens at the time of measurement.
