Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements and test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging, transportation and storage, etc. of automotive engine coolants (hereinafter referred to as coolants).
This standard applies to glycol-based coolants and other types of coolants for light-duty engines, as well as glycol-based coolants containing nitrite and molybdate components for heavy-duty engines.
