GB/T 1685-2008 Rubber,vulcanized or thermoplastic—Determination of stress relaxation in compression at ambient and at elevated temperatures
Abstract
This standard specifies two methods for measuring the reduction of force when vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber is compressed and maintained in a constant strain state at a specified test temperature. The samples are divided into cylindrical and annular types. Different sample sizes and shapes result in different test results. Only samples of the same shape and size can be compared in terms of their test results. Annular samples are particularly suitable for measuring stress relaxation in a liquid environment. This standard does not specify tests below the standard laboratory temperature. This method can be used for low-temperature tests, but the reliability of the test results has not been verified.
