This part of GB/T 7403 specifies the naming method, product classification, variety specifications, battery terminal sizes, battery polarity markings, and connection methods for traction batteries. This part is applicable to lead-acid traction batteries (hereinafter referred to as batteries) used as power sources for electric vehicles in industrial and mining enterprises, warehouses, docks, and stations, especially for power traction vehicles or material handling equipment.
