GB/T 15306.1-2008 Indexable inserts for cutting tools—Ceramic inserts with rounded corners—Part 1:Dimensions of inserts without fixing hole(Class G)
Abstract
This part of GB/T 15306 specifies the dimensions of indexable inserts made of ceramic cutting materials, which have a rounded tool tip, no fixed holes, a normal back angle of 0° and 11°, and a precision grade of G. These inserts are mainly clamped from the top on the toolbars of turning tools and boring tools. This part is applicable to G-grade indexable inserts made of various ceramic cutting materials without holes. Ceramic cutting materials are composed of various oxides, nitrides, carbides, and metals. For example, such ceramic materials include: oxide ceramics (mainly composed of alumina Al2O3); oxide-carbide ceramics (mainly composed of alumina and other materials such as titanium carbide TiC); and nitride ceramics (generally composed of silicon nitride Si3N4 and other materials such as yttrium oxide Y2O3 and alumina).
