GB/T 13893-2008 Paints and varnishes—Determination of resistance to humidity—Continuous condensation
Abstract
This standard specifies a method for evaluating the moisture resistance of coatings, paint systems, and similar products in a continuous condensation high-humidity environment according to coating requirements or product specifications. The coating substrates applicable to this standard include porous substrates (such as wood, gypsum, and gypsum-faced paperboard) and non-porous substrates (such as metal). This method specifies a test for continuous condensation performance that may occur on the surface of coatings under harsh exposure conditions. This test method can reveal phenomena such as coating damage (including foaming, staining, softening, wrinkling, and embrittlement) and substrate damage.
