This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, instruments, samples, test procedures, result calculation, and test reports for the density uniformity test of mineral wool insulation materials. This standard is applicable to mineral wool insulation products such as glass wool, rock wool, slag wool, and aluminum silicate wool. Other materials with density uniformity requirements may also refer to and use this standard.
