This document specifies the test procedures and conditions for the luminous flux maintenance rate of LED packages. It also provides procedures and conditions (guidelines) for estimating the long-term luminous flux maintenance rate based on the limited test data collected for the luminous flux maintenance rate. This document is also applicable to the estimation of the long-term maintenance rates of radiation flux and photon flux. It is suitable for LED packages used in general lighting and plant lighting. The test data used in the estimation method in this document are collected in accordance with the ANSI/IES LM8020 (LM80) method. The estimation procedure for the long-term maintenance rate is based on the exponential fitting function in ANSI/IES TM2119 (TM21), and an alternative boundary function procedure is provided when the exponential fitting function in ANSI/IES TM2119 is not applicable.
