Abstract
Within the basic scope described in GB/T 17971.1, this part of GB/T 17971 specifies the functional areas of the keyboard and the partitioning of these functional areas. It also stipulates the arrangement of functional zones, the numbering and positioning of keys within these zones, and the allocation of functions to the keys.
The functions assigned to the keys are defined in other parts of this standard.
