Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions of stainless steel wire, the content of orders, classification and grades, dimensions, shapes, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates.
This standard applies to stainless steel wire (hereinafter referred to as steel wire), but does not include stainless steel wire for cold heading and welding, nor austenitic and precipitation-hardened stainless spring steel wire.
