GB/Z 18039.1-2019 Electromagnetic compatibility—Environment—Description and classification of electromagnetic environments
Abstract
Understanding the electromagnetic environment of electrical and electronic equipment and systems in the workplace is an important prerequisite for achieving electromagnetic compatibility. This can be achieved in various ways, including on-site surveys of designated locations, technical assessments of equipment and systems, and routine documentation.
This section:
——Introduces the concept of disturbance immunity and defines the disturbance immunity of each electromagnetic phenomenon;
——Classifies various types of locations and describes their attributes;
——Provides background information on the different electromagnetic phenomena that may exist in the environment;
——Compiles a table of compatibility levels for electromagnetic phenomena related to these types of locations.
This section aims to provide guidance for those responsible for considering and formulating immunity requirements, and also provides basic guidance for selecting immunity levels. These materials are applicable to any part of electrical or electronic equipment, subsystems, or systems operating in the locations considered in this section.
