QX 30-2004

This standard specifies the principles of lightning protection for automatic weather station rooms, divides the lightning protection zones and lightning protection levels, and stipulates technical requirements for lightning protection of automatic weather station workrooms and outdoor observation sites, as well as the design and construction of grounding networks in automatic weather station rooms. It also clarifies the surge protection measures for automatic weather station rooms and the maintenance and management system for lightning protection devices in automatic weather station rooms.
This standard applies to the lightning protection design, construction, and maintenance of new, modified, and expanded automatic weather station rooms. For the lightning protection of various single-element or multi-element automatic weather stations installed in other locations, this standard can be used as a reference for implementation.
