Abstract
This standard applies to testing institutions that adhere to GLP principles, contracted archives, contracted quality assurance or information technology (IT) service providers, and clients, as well as GLP compliance supervision departments and receiving departments. Organizations involved in testing should ensure that they evaluate the applicable regulatory requirements based on their business needs. Certain aspects of archive construction and operation may be related to regulations or laws established for public health and safety, which are not covered by this standard. Testing institutions and other organizations that implement GLP archive management for records and materials can benefit from using recognized archive management standards, including those related to metadata.
