GB/T 2411-2008 Plastics and ebonite—Determination of indentation hardness by means of a durometer(shore hardness)
Abstract
1.1 This standard specifies the method of measuring the indentation hardness of plastics and hard rubber using two types of hardness testers, where Type A is used for soft materials and Type D is used for hard materials (see Note 8.2). This method can measure the initial indentation hardness, the indentation hardness after a specified period of time, or both. Note: The hardness testers and methods specified in this standard are those of Shore Type A and Shore Type D. 1.2 This standard is used as a test method for quality control, and there is no simple correspondence between the measured indentation hardness and the basic properties of the tested materials. For soft materials, it is recommended to use GB/T 6031-1998 "Determination of the Hardness of Vulcanized Rubber or Thermoplastic Rubber (10 IRHD to 100 IRHD)".
