This standard specifies a method for determining the platinum content in platinum alloy jewelry using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) with yttrium as the internal standard.
This standard is applicable to platinum alloy jewelry and other platinum alloy products with a platinum content of 500‰ to 990‰.
