Abstract
This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for polyester staple fibers used in sewing threads. This standard applies to polyester staple fibers with a fiber linear density of 1.22 dtex to 1.50 dtex and a circular cross-section, used in sewing threads such as super-glossy, glossy, and semi-matte. Other types of polyester staple fibers used in sewing threads can be used as a reference for application.
