GB/T 7736-2008 Ultrasonic inspecting method for macro-structure and imperfection of steel
Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, methodological principles, inspection methods, requirements and preparation of comparison test pieces, inspection equipment and its debugging, inspection conditions and procedures, result evaluation, inspection reports, etc. for ultrasonic inspection of low-magnification defects in steel. This standard is applicable to ultrasonic inspection of low-magnification defects in rolled and forged steel (billets) with simple cross-sections such as square, rectangular, and circular, and is also applicable to the inspection of defects in other steel preparation parts and billets.
