Abstract
This document specifies the quantification objectives, quantification scope, data and data quality, life cycle inventory analysis, impact assessment of the product carbon footprint, interpretation of the product carbon footprint results, and product carbon footprint reporting for the quantification of the carbon footprint of electrolytic aluminum products manufactured using prebaked anode aluminum electrolysis cells and metallurgical-grade alumina as raw materials. This document is applicable to the quantification of the carbon footprint of electrolytic aluminum products manufactured using prebaked anode aluminum electrolysis cells and metallurgical-grade alumina as raw materials, as well as the quantification of the carbon footprint of bauxite ore, metallurgical-grade alumina, and prebaked anodes used in aluminum electrolysis.
