Abstract
The special requirements of this document apply to electrical installations in medical facilities to ensure the safety of patients and medical staff. These requirements apply to:
— Hospitals, clinics, or similar institutions (including similar portable and mobile facilities);
At the same time, after evaluation according to 710.30, they may also include:
— Nursing homes and health clinics;
— Specialized areas in nursing homes and elderly care centers where patients receive medical care;
— Medical centers, outpatient clinics, and emergency rooms;
— Other outpatient institutions (industrial, sports, and others);
— Internal medicine and dental clinics;
— Workplace medical clinics;
— Other locations where medical equipment is used;
— Veterinary clinics;
— Rooms converted for medical use using existing facilities.
