GB/T 27664.3-2026 Non-destructive testing instruments—Characterization and verification of ultrasonic test equipment—Part 3:Combined equipment
Abstract
This document specifies the methods and acceptance criteria for verifying the performance of ultrasonic testing equipment (including instruments, probes, and connecting cables) using calibration blocks that are appropriate for the testing purposes.
The methods specified in this document are primarily applicable to manual single-channel ultrasonic testing instruments that comply with ISO 22232-1, as well as manual ultrasonic nondestructive testing instruments with single-crystal probes or dual-crystal probes that comply with ISO 22232-2. This document is also applicable to multi-channel instruments. For automated testing equipment, additional testing may be required to ensure satisfactory performance.
The methods specified in this document are suitable for use by operators under field or workshop conditions.
The methods specified in this document are not applicable for proving the suitability of equipment for specific applications.
This document is not applicable to ultrasonic instruments that use continuous wave technology.
This document is also not applicable to phased array ultrasonic systems (see ISO 18563-3). When phased array instruments are used in combination with single-crystal probes or dual-crystal probes, this document is applicable to such combinations.
