GB/T 17989.3-2020 Active

This part of GB/T 17989 provides guidelines for the use of acceptance control charts and stipulates the general procedures for determining the sample size of subgroups, action limits, and decision criteria.
This part is applicable to the following situations:
a) The within-subgroup variance of the subgroup is in a controlled state and the variance estimate is valid;
b) A high level of process capability has been achieved.
When the process variables under study follow a normal distribution, acceptance control charts are typically used. It can also be applied in the case of non-normal distribution. The examples in this part illustrate the advantages of applying this method in different situations, and at the same time, provide detailed information on determining the sample size of subgroups, action limits, and decision criteria.
