Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, designations and trademarks, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fibers.
This standard applies to polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fiber filaments, but not to non-polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fibers such as those based on asphalt or viscose.
