Abstract
This document specifies the details of the tests required to verify that verification-time weighted sound level meters, integrated average sound level meters, and integrated sound level meters comply with all the essential specifications set forth in IEC 61672-1. If necessary, the type evaluation tests apply to each channel of multi-channel sound level meters.
This document is applicable to Class 1 and Class 2 sound level meters. Its purpose is to ensure that all laboratories use consistent methods to conduct type evaluation tests.
