This document specifies the specific test procedures for temperature transmitters used in industrial processes and mechanical control systems for measurement and control. When the sensing elements (RTDs, TCs, etc.) in process measurement transmitters are separated from the temperature transmitters, this document only applies to temperature transmitters without sensing elements. When the sensing elements are fully integrated with the temperature transmitters, this document applies to the entire transmitter. For general test procedures, please refer to IEC 628281, which applies to all types of industrial process measurement transmitters. Note: In industrial process applications, the term "industrial transmitter" or "process transmitter" is often used to refer to process measurement transmitters. This document does not apply to the sensing elements themselves (such as RTDs, TCs, etc.) and radiation thermometers.
