Abstract
This standard specifies the macroscopic and microscopic inspection methods for welding joints of the following materials according to ISO 17639:2003(E): destructive testing of welds in metal materials.

—— Stainless steel;
—— Nickel and nickel alloys;
—— Titanium and titanium alloys;
—— Copper and copper alloys;
—— Aluminum and aluminum alloys.
This standard applies to etching agents used for macroscopic and microscopic inspection of welding joints in metal materials.
