GB/T 20975.24-2020 Methods for chemical analysis of aluminium and aluminium alloys—Part 24:Determination of total rare earth content
Abstract
This part of GB/T 20975 specifies the spectrophotometric method with trichloro-phenylazide arsenate and the weight method with oxalate for determining the total content of cerium group rare earth elements in aluminum and aluminum alloys.
This part is applicable to the arbitration determination of the total content of cerium group rare earth elements in aluminum and aluminum alloys. The determination range of the spectrophotometric method with trichloro-phenylazide arsenate is 0.001% to 2.50%; the determination range of the weight method with oxalate is 1.50% to 16.00%.
When the total content of cerium group rare earth elements is greater than 1.50% to 2.50%, the weight method with oxalate shall be used as the arbitration method.
