Abstract
This standard specifies the method of designating silicon iron grades, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, judgment and reinspection, packaging, storage and transportation, marking, and quality certificates.
This standard applies to silicon iron used in the steel industry as a deoxidizer and alloying agent, in the foundry industry as an inoculant and spheroidizing agent, and in the magnesium metal industry and ferroalloy industry as a reducing agent.
