GB/T 38811-2020 Metallic materials—Residual stress—Method of sound beam control
Abstract
This standard specifies the principles, equipment, workflow, processing effect comparison, and control reports for controlling residual stress on the surface and inside of metal materials using acoustic beams (elastic wave beams in solids) with certain energy and direction. This standard is applicable to the on-site in-situ reduction and homogenization of residual stress in large metal components such as metal containers, steel structures, pipelines, rails, vehicle bodies, and aerospace cabin bodies. The control of residual stress on the surface and inside of other non-metallic sound-transmissive material components can also be referenced and adopted.
