Abstract
This part of GB/T 20257 specifies the symbols, annotations, and frame decoration for various landforms and topographical elements depicted on 1:500, 1:1000, and 1:2000 topographic maps, as well as the methods and basic requirements for using these symbols. This part is applicable to the mapping of 1:500, 1:1000, and 1:2000 topographic maps. It can also be used as a reference for the preparation of geographic base maps or the mapping of maps of similar scales.
