GB/T 38874.2-2020 Active

This part of GB/T 38874 specifies the conceptual phase of the development of safety-related components (SRP/CS) for control systems. This part applies to agricultural and forestry tractors, self-propelled agricultural machinery, fully and semi-trailer agricultural machinery, and agricultural traction machinery, as well as municipal machinery (such as road sweepers).
This part does not apply to:
——Agricultural aircraft and agricultural vehicles;
——Lawn and garden equipment.
This part specifies the characteristics and categories required for SRP/CS to perform safety-related functions, but does not specify performance levels for specific applications.
Note 1: Mechanical-specific Class C standards may specify agricultural performance levels (AgPL) for safety-related functions within their scope. Otherwise, the specification of AgPL is the responsibility of the manufacturer.
This part applies to safety components of electrical/electronic/programmable electronic systems (E/E/PES) related to electromechanical systems. This part covers the hazards that may arise from the failure behavior of E/E/PES safety-related systems (including the interaction between these systems). This part does not address hazards related to electric shock, fire, smoke, high temperature, radiation, toxicity, flammability, chemical reactivity, corrosion, or energy release, unless directly caused by a failure of the E/E/PES safety system. This part also covers the failure behavior of E/E/PES safety-related systems under non-E/E/PES hazards, involving protective measures, safeguards, or safety-related functions.
This part includes examples within the following scope:
——SRP/CS limiting the current in electric hybrid systems to prevent insulation failure/electric shock hazards;
——Electromagnetic interference of SRP/CS;
——Fire protection design of SRP/CS.
