GB/T 18029.19-2014 Wheelchairs—Part 19:Wheeled mobility devices for use as seats in motor vehicles
Abstract
This part of GB/T 18029 specifies the design requirements, performance requirements, and related test methods for wheelchairs, and also stipulates the contents of wheelchair markings, pre-sales documents, user manuals, and warning information.
These provisions apply to wheelchairs composed of a basic frame and a seat system, as well as to wheelchairs equipped with additional components (designed to meet one or more requirements).
This part applies to all manual and power wheelchairs, including mobility scooters, which, in addition to their basic function of wheeled mobility, are often used as forward-facing seats in motor vehicles, and the occupants can be children or adults weighing 22 kg or more.
