GB/T 18997.2-2020 Plastic/aluminum/plastic composite pressure pipes—Part 2:Composite pipes butt-welded by aluminum pipe
Abstract
This part of GB/T 18997 specifies the terms and definitions, symbols and abbreviations, classification, conditions of use and marking, materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of aluminum-plastic composite pressure pipes (referred to as butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipes) reinforced with a metal layer by embedding and welding aluminum pipes, and compounded with inner and outer layers of plastic by co-extrusion and hot melt adhesive.
This part is applicable to heat-resistant polyethylene butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipes, cross-linked polyethylene butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipes, and random copolymer polypropylene butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipes used in cold and hot water transmission and distribution systems, as well as to polyethylene butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipes and cross-linked polyethylene butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipes used in cold water, gas, compressed air, and special fluid transmission and distribution systems with operating temperatures not exceeding 40 °C.
Note: Polyethylene butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipes, heat-resistant polyethylene butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipes, and cross-linked polyethylene butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipes use internal sealing mechanical connections, while random copolymer polypropylene butt-welded aluminum-plastic pipes use double-sided hot melt socket-and-splice connections.
