Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, test principles, test methods, and data and reports for in vitro skin corrosion testing of chemicals on human skin models.
This standard is applicable to the screening and detection of chemical skin corrosion and can be used as an alternative method to animal testing for chemical skin corrosion. It can also be used as part of toxicity testing, combined with other tests, for the overall evaluation of the toxicity of chemical substances.
