Abstract
This standard specifies the tests and requirements for inspecting the mechanical performance of portable sealed batteries and battery packs during transportation and normal use. The formulation of this standard takes into account relevant national and international standards.
This standard applies to the testing purposes, testing methods, and acceptance criteria for portable sealed batteries and battery packs of various electrochemical systems (Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, and Li) and different sizes and shapes (cylindrical, square, and button-style).
