This part of GB/T 39673 specifies the electrical safety requirements for residential and building electronic systems (HBES) and building automation and control systems (BACS).
This part applies to the electrical safety requirements related to HBES/BACS networks, in addition to the product safety standards for HBES/BACS equipment.
This part also applies to equipment in HBES/BACS networks for which there are no specific HBES/BACS product safety standards.
Additionally, this part defines the interfaces of equipment intended to be connected to an HBES/BACS network. This part does not apply to interfaces connected to other networks.
Furthermore, this part specifies the safety requirements for the interfaces of equipment intended to be connected to an HBES/BACS network. This part does not apply to interfaces of other networks.
Note: An example of other networks is the dedicated ICT network covered by IEC 62949.
This part applies to:
——operating stations and other human-machine interface devices;
——management function devices;
——control devices, automation stations, and application-specific controllers;
——field devices and their interfaces;
——wiring and interconnectivity of equipment.
The above are used in dedicated HBES/BACS networks.
This part covers the following requirements and conformity criteria:
——protecting equipment from harm;
——preventing network overvoltage;
——protecting against contact current;
——preventing harm caused by different types of circuits;
——protecting communication lines from overheating due to excessive current.
