Abstract
This standard specifies the requirements, design, and installation of hose fittings, shock-absorbing pipes, and expansion joints used in the refrigerant circuits of refrigeration systems and heat pumps.
This standard applies to metal hoses, metal flexible pipes, non-metallic hoses, shock-absorbing pipes, and expansion joints in the refrigerant circuits of refrigeration systems and heat pumps.
This standard does not apply to hoses that are only occasionally subjected to forces exceeding their elastic limit (for example, when hoses are being repaired or when they are connected to freely rotating or hinged joints).
