GB 9706.4-2009 Medical electrical equipment—Part 2-2:Particular requirements for the safety of high frequency surgical equipment
Abstract
This dedicated standard specifies the safety requirements for high-frequency surgical equipment and medical high-frequency accessories defined in 2.1.110. Such equipment and accessories are hereinafter referred to as high-frequency surgical equipment.
High-frequency surgical equipment with a rated output power of no more than 50 W (such as miniature electrocautery devices, or equipment used in dentistry or ophthalmology) is excluded from certain requirements of this dedicated standard. These exclusions will be specified in the relevant requirements.
