Abstract
This standard specifies a method for measuring the molding shrinkage and post-heat treatment shrinkage of samples of thermoset molding materials. These characteristics are useful for production control and testing the production uniformity of thermoset materials. Additionally, understanding the initial shrinkage of thermoset materials is important for mold design, and understanding post-heat treatment shrinkage is crucial for determining whether the molding materials are suitable for manufacturing precision-sized molded parts.
