Abstract
This standard specifies the method for determining the yellow index and its change value of transparent or opaque plastics.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the yellow index and its change value of plastic materials.
Note 1: The shapes of the samples include molded boards or discs, films, sheets, powders, and particles. It is not applicable to plastics containing fluorescent agents.
Note 2: The change value of the yellow index is often used to evaluate the impact of the environment on color stability, such as high temperature and ultraviolet radiation.
