Abstract
This standard specifies a method for quantitatively determining the total sugar content on the surface of cotton fibers using a 3,5-dihydroxymethylbenzene sulfate solution as a color reagent and a spectrophotometer. This standard is applicable to raw cotton, cotton strips, cotton rolls, and other cotton fibers.
