Abstract
This document provides guidance and recommendations for new and existing cleanrooms, clean areas, and isolation devices to optimize energy use and maintain good energy efficiency. It provides guidance for the design, construction, commissioning, and operation of cleanrooms. This document covers all the characteristics of cleanrooms and is suitable for optimizing energy use in various fields, including electronics, aerospace, nuclear industry, pharmaceuticals, hospitals, medical devices, food industry, and other clean air applications. This document also introduces the concept of benchmarking performance evaluation and comparing the energy efficiency of cleanrooms, while maintaining the performance level required by ISO 14644 [2][3].
